National Youth Resource Centre

The National Youth Resource Centre serves as a depository of knowledge and observatory in terms of youth related data, which will be made available to youth related agencies and organizations. The National Youth Resource Centre has two departments:

1. Bureau of Youth Statistics and Analysis

In order to assimilate and periodically update information and youth related data and analyse them to identify core issues and concerns that impact the life of the young people, the Bureau of Youth Statistics and Analysis systematically collects, stores youth database on the youth population of the country state-wise, gender-wise, sector-wise, district wise, etc from authentic and credible sources and packages them in a user-friendly format for wider dissemination that aids in planning and development of youth- related policies and programmes.  

2. Department of Documentation and Publications

  • As the national level Documentation and Publication Centre, RGNIYD through this Department collects appropriate documents and publications from other national and international agencies to bring out comprehensive documents and user-friendly publications on Youth Development.
  • The Department brings out exclusive half-yearly Journal of Youth Development titled “Endeavour” with ISSN registration, Quarterly Newsletters, publication of books, facilitators’ manuals, monographs, working papers, research reports, etc with ISBN and in collaboration with internationally reputed publishing houses.
  • It undertakes specialized documentation, in the form of case studies of models of best practices develop through extension projects; and disseminate information to other youth-related government and voluntary agencies.
  • The Department translates and publishes youth-related studies in different languages which have ample utility in the life of young people.
