Sriperumbudur, August 01- National Service Scheme (NSS) ensures true marriage of society with education for the students to understand, analyse and interpret the socio-economic realities. The logo of NSS âNot Me But Youâ is necessary and sufficient for promoting altruism among volunteers which is the real rational behaviour needed today, opined Professor (Dr.) M.M. Goel, Director RGNIYD while delivering the inaugural speech in the consultation programme of NSS Empanelled Training Institutes ( ETI) here today.
The effective implementation of NSS programmes calls for training in transforming attitude towards accountability, skills and knowledge which can be perfect with spirituality- the spirit to know actuality with science of soul flowing from our epics including Gita and Anu-Gita , said Director RGNIYD.
For employability of youth, we need to increase return on training investment (ROTI) by equipping NSS volunteers with skills in planning, organizing, supervision, transparency, communication, administration, responsiveness and decision-making (POSTCARD). It is the postcard which is the most secret and sacred and cost effective mode of communication even in present times of information revolution, believes Professor Goel
Earlier Professor Vasanthi Rajendran welcomed the guests and told that the consultation programme is being attended by coordinators from various states of India.
