M.Sc. Mathematics

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics at Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur. The department offers a two-year M.Sc. programme in Mathematics, established in 2021. The Department explores ways to combine excellence in education with service to industry. The curriculum comprises Pure, Applied, and Computational Mathematics alongwith Statistics, Machine Learning and Deep Learning, which have sufficient exposure to hands-on skills leading to higher employability. It is also well suited for the upward mobility of post graduates in mathematics towards industry.

The Department provides a forum for graduate students to present their innovative ideas. Moreover, we arrange several seminars, special lecture series, conferences, and workshops to keep the students motivated and energetic throughout the year, which would help them enhance their confidence and interpersonal skills.

The students of the Department of Mathematics are suitable to work in any environment. We promote student awareness for life-long learning and introduce them to academic as well as professional ethics and integrity.
