Anti-Ragging Squad

In supersession of Office Order No. 106/2022-23 dated 22.12.2022, the Anti-Ragging Squad, RGNIYD, Sriperumbudur, is hereby reconstituted in accordance with Clause 6.4(2) of the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009. The composition of the squad is as follows:

The squad is assigned with the following responsibilities:

  1. The Squad shall have vigil, oversight and patrolling functions.
  2. It shall be kept mobile, alert and active at all times and shall be empowered to inspect places of potential ragging and make surprise raids on hostels and other hot spots.
  3. The Anti-Ragging Squad shall investigate incidents of ragging and submit the enquiry report, along with its recommendations, to the Anti-Ragging Committee for appropriate action under Clause 9.1 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, after ensuring that the enquiry is conducted in a fair, impartial, and transparent manner.
