In her experience as a social work practitioner and researcher on development issues, Ms Febna has focused on the interfaces of development and marginalization. 

As a researcher associated with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and as the Field coordinator for Mining Information Clearing House of India, New Delhi, her initial years of engagement with the theme of social justice and development, were focused on challenges faced by tribal communities in India. She went on to conduct a multi-cultural study on environmental ethics in local peasant communities, across different Central American countries, as part of her assignment with Earth Charter International. More recently, she has worked as a Co-ordinator for rehabilitation programs for the homeless in New Mexico, United States. Prior to joining RGNIYD she was engaged as Program Advisor to the various Women’s programs of Jagori Grameen, Himachal Pradesh. Febna holds a Masters degree in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and another Masters degree on Natural Resource, Peace and Conflict Resolution from the U.N University of Peace in Costa Rica. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology.
