Chennai , September 13 â âThere is a strong case for redefining economics which have to be classified into âNeedonomicsâ and âGreedonomicsâ for enlarging the intellectual gene pool among economists for achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs-2030),â said Professor (Dr.) M.M. Goel, Director Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) while speaking in the inaugural function of the international conference organised by Queen Maryâs College in association with Indian Economic Association here today.
The values and ethical perspectives in sustainable development calls for spiritual economics based on Gita as an âIdea of Indiaâ which is necessary and sufficient to become global leader , believes Professor Goel who is a known spiritual economist trained at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
