Prof (Dr) MM Goel hoisted the National flag and addressed the RGNIYD family on the occasion of 71st Independence Day

Sriperumbudur, August 15- To celebrate 71st Independence in our beloved INDIA as independent, non-violent democracy with integrity and amity, we have to inculcate the spirit of nationalism among youth.  Bharat is a knowledge seeker economy from the very being and enjoy the status of Vishav Guru, said Professor (Dr.) M.M. Goel, Director RGNIYD while delivering the Independence Day address here today.

For the progress of Indian society and culture, we certainly require to inculcate nationalism among youth of the kind during freedom struggle by Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru with attitude of gratitude. Let everyone of us identify the role in national interest as consumer, producer, distributor and trader without groupings of various kinds and creed which is bad economics as well as politics, said Professor Goel.

There are three kinds of interest including self-interest, vested interest   (family, neighbourhood, caste, region and religion) and above all national interest, explained the Director.

The self-interest if done for the soul satisfaction of an individual is welcome as constructive for betterment of human life.  This is acceptable as responsible life style needed in present times of conflicts. It is to be called as the happiest path of life. An individual is progressive by doing the duty as Karamyogi, told Prof. Goel.

Protecting the interest of others known as parhit or paropkar in Hindi as social interest. The social service is necessary part of the life as parhit is the real Dharma for us, justified the Director.

The Director wished Happy Independence Day to one and all in the RGNIYD family and its stakeholders.

Nine outstanding employees were honoured with cash prize of Rs 1000/ by the Director on the occasion after hosting the flag ceremony and took the salute from the flag march by the NSS volunteers and security staff.Students of RGNIYD  displayed  a  street theatre performance depicting the social evils of the society faced by youth.
